Privacy Policy

We collect the information you give us and a small amount that is created as you use the service:

• Account information: your email address and the password you set when you create an account.
• Profile information: your display name, role, headline, company, location, bio, credentials, and links that you choose to add.
• Content: posts, comments, likes, follows, job listings you post, and applications you submit.
• Technical data: log and device data such as IP address and browser type, used to keep the service secure and reliable.

• To provide the community, the feed, profiles, search, and the job board.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To connect job posters with applicants who choose to apply.
• To moderate content, prevent abuse, and enforce our guidelines.
• To send service related messages, and, only if you opt in, occasional updates.

Your profile and the content you post are visible to other members of the community. When you apply to a job, your profile and your note are shared with that job poster. We do not sell your personal information.

We use trusted service providers to run the platform, including:

• Supabase, for authentication and database hosting.
• Vercel, for application hosting.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our members.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use third party advertising cookies.

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit your profile at any time, and you can request access or deletion by contacting us. We honor applicable rights under GDPR and CCPA.

We protect your data with industry standard measures, including encryption in transit, row level access controls, and least privilege access to systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Safety Circle is intended for safety professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the product.
